4-HOUR REGULAR SCHEDULED CHARTER (max 20)

2-HOUR SHORT SCHEDULED CHARTER (max 20) (only during school holidays)

Please note: for safety purposes, the following maximums apply to 2hr & 4hr charters:
For every u/10 child there must be an accompanying adult.
For every 2 10-15yrs children there must be an accompanying adult.
A maximum of 1 u/10 child and 1 10-15yrs child can be accompanied by one adult.

3-HOUR SNAPPER FISHING CHARTER – September-March/April only

6-HOUR GUMMY SHARK & SNAPPER/WHITING FISHING CHARTER (Snapper season Sept-Mar/Apr)

FISHING CHARTER INFO:
Our regular charters are very family-friendly and include:

*all bait and tackle
*an excellent selection of food including BBQ sausages in bread, salad & fruit snack packs and lamingtons or donuts
*tea/coffee/hot milo to start & healthy snacks
*all legal-sized fish caught by you, cleaned, filleted and bagged (bag limits apply)

Non-alcoholic drinks, (soft drinks and bottled water), lollies, chocolates, chips and handwarmers are also available for purchase on board. The licensed bar is open between 9am-8pm Sun-Thur and 9am-11pm on Fri & Sat.

Fishing charters depart from and return to “Wangim Walk”, bayside of the Wharf Shed Cafe at the end of Yarra Street, Geelong 3220 (go through the glass doors and on to the walkway). Sometimes, due to better parking, or better access on to the boat, the charter may leave from St. Helen’s Ramp, end of Swinburne Street, North Geelong 3215.

You are requested to arrive at the departure point at least 5 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Fish you may catch on a charter include: flathead, snapper (pinkie if undersized), Australian Salmon, Rock Cod, garfish, (snotty and silver) Trevally, Tailor, Gurnard, whiting (silver or King George), snook, banjo shark, Port Jackson shark, Gummy shark, 7-gill shark, and School shark.

Should your preferred date be fully booked, you may join a waitlist by texting the name, number of people in the booking, and preferred date to 0491 713 236. Any last minute availabilities (due to COVID/ cancellations) will be posted on our Facebook page if there are no waitlisted bookings for that date.

**Anyone looking to re-book a charter (that has been postponed due to poor weather conditions or Covid restrictions), but cannot find dates suitable above, is welcome to book any time in the future that suits. There is no expiry on dates.

Please note: *pricing and scheduling is subject to change *minimum numbers are required for each charter and poor or dangerous weather conditions will result in a charter being postponed or cancelled *no one booking can take up more than 50% of full capacity on scheduled charters according to the restrictions in place at the time *halal food is only available during a private charter *fishing licences are also required for people aged 18-69, unless exempt – visit https://vfa.vic.gov.au/recreational-fishing/fishing-licence to purchase prior to participating in a charter.

BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL and can be made by calling or texting Tracy on 0491 713 236, messaging via FB messenger on the FB page, instagram, or emailing info@geelongfishingcharter.com.au from Saturday-Thursday. Whilst COVID19 restrictions are in place, pencilled bookings for dates will be accepted with a valid gift voucher number.

PAYMENTS:
Places are only confirmed once payment has been received.

PAY ID:
Payments can be now made via PayID using our telephone number: 0491 713 236

AFTERPAY:

We are currently in the process of applying to accept Afterpay, which we hope to be able to offer online in the new season.

EFTPOS:
Payments can be made over the phone via credit card. Please bring the credit card used for payment with you on the day of the trip to be sighted.

BANK TRANSFER:
Payments can also be made via bank transfer, provided they take place within 72 hours of the booking. Please contact us for the details. Once you have made the payment, please text a screenshot to 0491 713 236.

SMOKING/VAPING:

  • Cigarette smoking is permitted on board the vessel (at the rear).
  • Due to the increased risk of vape pens exploding, we no longer permit their use or possession on board. Please DO NOT bring your vape pen with you on the boat.

Prices valid 01/01/2023 (and subject to change without notice)

Cancellation Policy: 72 hours’ notice is required in order for a credit to be provided for any booking. Cancellation within this period forfeits the place and any monies paid towards a charter, unless a replacement can be found at short notice.

  • All passengers 12+yrs must be fully vaccinated (2 doses), irrespective of the current mandates in place, if any children aged 5 years or less will be on the same charter
  • The vessel and the tackle provided is completely disinfected and sanitised between charters
  • Running water & soap is available in the toilet, wet (disinfectant) wipes, and concentrated sanitiser gel is available widely on board
    *Buckets of salt water and fresh towels are provided for each family/household group
  • The maximum number of people allowed on board is determined by the Covid19 restrictions in place at the time, to accommodate social distancing measures required at the time.
